Nutrient Neutrality is now live on Kana Earth
Nutrient Neutrality is now supported on the Kana Earth platform, so project developers can manage Nutrient Neutrality projects alongside the rest of their nature portfolio.

We are pleased to announce that Nutrient Neutrality is now supported on the Kana Earth platform, further expanding the range of nature markets that project developers can manage through Kana.
Nature markets are diverse and continue to evolve. Different environmental outcomes require different methodologies, data, workflows and approaches to project delivery. For project developers, the infrastructure they rely on needs to be able to evolve with them, whether they are working within an established standard or developing projects in emerging markets where methodologies and delivery models are still taking shape.
That flexibility is built into Kana Earth through NatureScript, our coding framework that enables us to rapidly onboard new methodologies and project types onto the platform.
Supporting Nutrient Neutrality projects from feasibility to ongoing monitoring
With Nutrient Neutrality now live, project developers can use Kana to bring the management of their Nutrient Neutrality projects into the same system as the rest of their nature portfolio.
Projects can be set up with the workflows, milestones, documentation and inventory required for Nutrient Neutrality, giving teams a central place to manage project delivery and maintain oversight across their portfolios.
This includes the ability to:
- Manage projects from development through to long-term delivery, with clear workflows, tasks and milestones.
- Centralise project information and documentation, creating a consistent and auditable record for each project.
- Track nutrient credit inventory, helping teams maintain visibility over the environmental units associated with their projects.
- Manage multiple nature markets in one portfolio, alongside project types such as Biodiversity Net Gain, woodland carbon and peatland carbon.
- Adapt project workflows as methodologies develop, rather than relying on systems built around a single environmental market or standard.
Infrastructure that can evolve with nature markets
The addition of Nutrient Neutrality reflects a broader principle behind the Kana platform: nature market infrastructure needs to be flexible enough to accommodate both established and emerging environmental markets.
NatureScript allows new standards, methodologies and project structures to be configured within Kana without requiring an entirely new platform for every market.
For project developers operating across multiple environmental outcomes, this means projects can be managed within a common infrastructure while retaining the specific requirements of each methodology.
As nature markets continue to develop, we will continue expanding the methodologies supported by Kana, helping project developers manage increasingly diverse portfolios through a single end-to-end project management system.
