London Climate Action Week 2026: From ambition to implementation
Reflections from London Climate Action Week 2026, where the conversation on nature and climate moved decisively from ambition to implementation at scale.

London Climate Action Week 2026 has come to a close, bringing together businesses, investors, financial institutions, policymakers and project developers to discuss how we accelerate action on climate and nature.
Across a week of conversations spanning nature finance, carbon markets, institutional investment and corporate transition, one message emerged consistently: the conversation has moved beyond ambition and towards implementation at scale.
From climate plan to business plan
At the Natixis Investment Managers, Carbonaires and Fieldfisher event, Robert White captured this shift perfectly:
"Don't have a climate plan, have a business plan."
Climate and nature are no longer separate sustainability priorities. They are increasingly recognised as fundamental business and investment considerations that will shape long-term resilience, risk management and value creation.
This shift was evident throughout the week. At the Nature Broking and CarbonPlace event, one example stood out. Clyde & Co shared how they have reframed their net zero commitment as a future business liability rather than simply a sustainability target. By planning for those future obligations today and treating carbon removals as long-term strategic assets rather than short-term expenses, they demonstrated how climate action is becoming embedded in financial decision-making. It's a powerful example of sustainability moving from the ESG team into the boardroom and finance function.
The investment opportunity in nature
At Reset Connect, conversations focused on the growing investment opportunity within nature and climate solutions. A key theme was the increasing recognition that investments in natural capital can generate attractive long-term returns while strengthening resilience to physical climate risks. Water, in particular, emerged as a growing investment priority. As one of our most critical natural assets, investment in watersheds, wetlands and nature-based solutions has the potential to reduce flood risk, improve drought resilience and deliver measurable environmental and economic value.
Innovation and market infrastructure
Innovation was another defining feature of the week. The Blue Earth Forum showcased an impressive range of businesses developing technologies and solutions to address climate change and biodiversity loss. It reinforced the importance of creating the market infrastructure needed to help these innovative projects access investment and scale. As the ecosystem continues to mature, trusted digital infrastructure will be essential in connecting institutional capital with high-quality climate and nature opportunities.
Where finance, technology and the real economy converge
What stood out most across every event was the increasing convergence between finance, technology and the real economy. Institutional investors are looking for credible opportunities to deploy capital into nature. Corporates are seeking practical pathways to meet their climate and biodiversity commitments. Project developers are building the pipelines needed to deliver measurable environmental outcomes. Connecting these parts of the market requires trusted infrastructure, transparent data and confidence in project integrity.
At Kana Earth, we are building the investment infrastructure needed to make nature and climate investable at institutional scale. The conversations throughout London Climate Action Week reinforced our belief that high-integrity nature and climate investments will become an increasingly important component of resilient portfolios and the transition to a nature-positive economy.
From ambition to action
Thank you to everyone we met throughout the week. It was a pleasure to exchange ideas, build new relationships and hear from the organisations helping shape the future of nature finance.
Now comes the important part: turning all of this ambition into action.
We look forward to continuing the conversations started during London Climate Action Week and working with both new and existing partners to help scale investment into nature and climate.
