Kana Earth: 2025 Wrapped
As we head toward the end of the year, we are taking a moment to reflect on what’s been a defining year for Kana Earth, one shaped by platform growth, partnerships, and real progress in scaling investment in nature.
19 December 2025
From continuous product delivery to new market infrastructure, the progress we made this year reflects the dedication of our team and partners, and the growing momentum behind natural capital as an investment theme.
Here’s a look back at what we delivered.
Strengthening Kana Hub: 12 platform releases in one year
Over the course of 2025, we delivered 12 releases to Kana Hub, each shaped by direct feedback from users across our project and investor ecosystem.
Key enhancements included:
-
A project tracker and roadmap to improve visibility and delivery planning
-
Workflow and task management tools to support day-to-day project execution
-
Inventory management to better connect projects with investors and buyers
Together, these updates strengthened project management capabilities and more tightly connected projects with a growing, investor ecosystem. Continuous delivery remains central to how we build, iterating alongside the needs of the market.

Launching DCEM: Infrastructure for environmental markets
In March, we announced DCEM, a joint venture between Kana Earth, Delta Capita, and Tasingha Partnerships, created to support the next phase of global environmental markets.
The DCEM solution has been developed to address the $949 billion market in traded CO₂ permits for sovereign nations participating under the COP26 Paris Agreement, and to support the evolution of this market into a new institutional-grade asset class.
Built on Delta Capita’s MACH blockchain technology, DCEM provides the regulatory and technological framework required for transparent trading, secure settlement, and scalable liquidity across environmental credits. The platform is designed to operate in compliance with global climate agreements as well as domestic environmental market frameworks.
By delivering a seamless, interoperable experience for market participants and sovereign nations alike, DCEM addresses long-standing challenges around trust, fragmentation, and infrastructure in environmental markets.
And yes, there’s more to announce next year.
Advancing institutional understanding of natural capital
A group of leading asset managers came together this year with a shared goal: to advance natural capital as a practical, investable theme.
In partnership with Aberdeen Investments, Gresham House, and Rebalance Earth, we published "Natural Capital: A guide for institutional investors". The guide sets out a clear, investment-led framework for allocating to natural capital across private markets, including real estate, infrastructure, private equity, and alternative strategies.
It explains how these approaches can deliver competitive financial returns alongside measurable, nature-positive outcomes, while addressing common institutional investor concerns around risk, structure, and implementation.
The guide was launched alongside:
-
A dedicated webinar, and
-
A panel discussion at the EKN Nature Finance Conference
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to positioning natural capital as a credible and scalable institutional investment theme. Further developments building on this work are planned for 2026.

Supporting integrity through the Community Inclusion Standard (CIS)
This year also saw the launch of the Community Inclusion Standard (CIS), a new UK-wide standard designed to evidence meaningful community benefit in nature-based projects.
Kana Earth supported both the development and digitisation of CIS, enabling:
-
Digital submission of compliance documentation
-
Streamlined assessment and certification
-
Issuance of a CIS badge directly through the Kana Earth platform
The CIS badge signals high-integrity, community-inclusive development, helping projects demonstrate credibility while reducing administrative burden.
Looking ahead
As we head into 2026, the momentum is real and growing.
With a stronger platform, deeper partnerships, new market infrastructure, and emerging standards now in place, we’re excited about what’s ahead for Kana Earth and the wider nature investment ecosystem.
Thank you to our partners, customers, collaborators, and supporters who continue to challenge us, back us, and help shape what we’re building.
More to come.
